What we know: Food production contributes to a quarter of all greenhouse gas emissions causing global warming.

What we have a hard time knowing: How the food we eat contributes to this!? So the BBC recently published a “Climate Change Food Calculator” in case you want to check out your carbon foot statistics (based on global averages) or play around to find the foods with the least impact.

What surprised me again is that meat and other animal products are responsible for more than half of food related greenhouse gas emissions (beef, by far, being the largest contributor).
